3.CO is more than just a brand. It is an attitude, a way of life and most of all, a concept that reshapes the way you view your surroundings.
A Taiwan-based company, 3.CO has in the space of two years gone from a little-known company to a “brand” in the world of ceramic home decorations.
With the help of an artist and a friend who has been in ceramics for 30 years, the founder and currently the president, Cathy Yu started 3.CO in 2003. “I named the company 3.CO because it represents the company’s core components – design, manufacturing, and marketing,” said Cathy.
Soon after 3.CO launched its debut collection, the company received overwhelming response from interested customers from around the world because they could not find something else remotely similar,” said Cathy, emphasising that originality is the most powerful tool for 3.CO.
Based on the four key elements: timelessness, simplicity, subtlety and graceful sophistication, every ceramic decoration produced by 3.CO comes with a different story. Cathy elaborated, “Our designers work with our factory workers for months before they can produce a sample that they may not even be satisfied with. Sometimes it takes countless of samples before they can get it right, during which our designers and workers may have arguments and fail to reach a common ground. We like to see this as a challenge that will eventually bring us one step closer to perfecting our production techniques, and the quality of our products.”
“Having to strike a balance between executing an artistic idea and making a profit is definitely one of the hardest parts of running a successful business,” said Cathy. “Are you willing to stand up for an idea that you are passionate about? Or are you more interested in making a profit? These are the questions we ask ourselves before deciding whether we will consider launching a product.”
The result? The exquisite ceramic products that blow everyone away even without fancy decorations or ornaments to support them. “We do not want to just impress our customers – we aim to “wow” them with exceptional design & quality,” Cathy elaborates 3.CO’s position in the market and what it represents.
3.CO’s customer base over the years has been mainly Europe, Japan and Scandinavia. The company now also has distributors in several other countries not just selling its products, but the entire 3.CO brand.
In order to attract new potential customers and keep the existing ones coming back, 3.CO introduces new lines every year with distinctive features and timeless styles.
